Built in the 1980's, some very dedicated businesses and individuals carved the park out of the river bed with the help of the Bureau of Reclamation, on land donated by Kern County earmarked for community programs and amateur sports.

Teams have enjoyed soccer at this beautiful site for decades, but, the 40+ acre complex also plays host to outdoor events on all sorts.

Open skies above the fields are a treat for model aircraft clubs. The golden foothills and the Kern River provide the perfect backdrop for any event.

In 2002, when Kern County built the massive water facility that is to the east of the soccer park, the water system for the park had to be replaced and upgraded to meet current standards. Thanks to Cal South's grant program, the major funding for that project was donated to the park. This allowed for some badly needed field restoration.

Fields have been redesigned, adding more playing fields and parking areas have been expanded. The collapsing front gate has been replaced and the front drive is now paved for easier access from the highway.

None of these improvements would have been possible without the help of businesses and individuals donating their time and equipment, or purchasing advertising space.

The Board of Directors of the Kern County Soccer Foundation strives to keep the complex and its activities family friendly.  We welcome your questions about how we might accommodate your event.
